The Lucy card from Shoulders of Giants

Lucy is the nickname for the bones of an early human ancestor found in Ethiopia, in East Africa, in 1974. She lived about 3.2 million years ago. Scientists put her in a species called Australopithecus afarensis. They found about 40 percent of her skeleton, which is a lot for a fossil that old. Her bones showed something big: Lucy walked upright on two legs. But her brain was only about the size of a chimpanzee's. So our ancestors walked on two legs long before they had large brains. The team named her after a Beatles song they played at their camp. In Ethiopia she is also called Dinkinesh, which means "you are marvelous" in Amharic.
