The Ötzi card from Shoulders of Giants

Ötzi, also called the Iceman, is the natural mummy of a man who lived about 5,300 years ago. In 1991, two hikers found his body in the ice of the Ötztal Alps, near the border between Austria and Italy. The cold had preserved him so well that scientists could study his skin, his clothes and even his last meal. Ötzi wore leather clothing, a bearskin cap and shoes stuffed with grass. He carried a copper axe, a flint knife and a bow with arrows. His axe shows that he lived in the Copper Age, after people had learned to farm and to work metal. He had more than 60 tattoos. Scientists later found an arrowhead in his shoulder, which is probably how he died.
